Delete Your CacaoCash Account

Before You Delete

Spend or withdraw your full balance first. Once your account is deleted you can no longer sign in, so you won’t be able to access any money left in it.

Delete in the App

• Open CacaoCash and tap your profile picture at the top of the Home screen.
• Tap Settings.
• Tap Delete account, then Delete to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Delete Without the App

If you can’t open the app, email privacy@cacaocash.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we aim to process requests within 30 days.

What We Delete

• Your sign-in account, so you can no longer log in with your email, Google or Apple
• Your email address, which we remove from your CacaoCash profile

We also ask our US banking partner to delete your customer profile.

What We Keep

To meet our legal, regulatory and tax obligations, prevent fraud and resolve disputes, we keep some records after your account is deleted:

• Account details, such as your name, phone number, ID number and country
• Identity verification results
• Your transaction history, including the recipients you paid

We keep these records for as long as applicable financial and anti-money laundering laws require, typically 5 to 10 years after your account is closed, or longer if an investigation or dispute requires it. Crash and error reports are kept by our crash reporting provider for up to 90 days.

Our identity verification and payment partners keep the documents and data they received, including your ID document, under their own legal obligations and privacy policies. The same applies to data already shared with Meta for advertising measurement. If you’d like your support conversations deleted too, tell us in your request. See our Privacy Policy for details.
