How to Deposit Pounds to CacaoCash by Faster Payments (2026)

CacaoCash gives you UK account details, a sort code and an account number, that accept Faster Payments from any UK bank. Send pounds from Barclays, Monzo, Starling, Revolut or Wise and they land in your CacaoCash balance as dollars, usually within minutes, ready to pay QR codes in Argentina or send pesos. No card fee, no DNI, no Argentine bank account.

It is a normal UK bank transfer. The only detail that trips people up is the payee name, covered below.

How It Works

• Faster Payments, 24/7. Pounds sent by Faster Payments arrive in minutes, nights and weekends included.
• The payee is the partner, the account is yours. The account holder shown is Bridge Building S.A., the regulated banking partner. Your account number is what routes the money to you.
• Pounds become dollars. Your balance is held in US dollars, converted at the rate shown in the app. Every payment in Argentina then uses the crypto dollar rate.

Before You Start

• A verified CacaoCash account (passport or national ID, a selfie, a couple of minutes).
• A UK current account in your own name. High-street banks, Monzo, Starling, Revolut and Wise GBP accounts all work.

Step 1: Get Your Sort Code and Account Number

1. Open Deposit. On the Home screen, tap Deposit, then on Select currency tap GBP, British Pound.

2. Create the account (first time only). A short intro screen, GBP deposits, explains that CacaoCash opens a virtual account that receives Faster Payments from any UK bank. Tap Continue.
3. Your details appear. The Deposit · GBP screen shows the Bank (Banking Circle S.A.), your Sort code, your Account number, the Account holder (Bridge Building S.A.) and the Bank address. Each field has a copy button.

Step 2: Add the Payee in Your Bank App

1. In your bank app, choose Pay someone new or Add payee.
2. Payee type: Business. Payee name: Bridge Building S.A., exactly as shown in the Account holder field. Do not put your own name here.
3. Enter the sort code and account number from CacaoCash.
4. Confirmation of Payee will check the name. With Bridge Building S.A. as a business payee it should come back as a match. If your bank reports a partial match, make sure you typed the name in full, including S.A..

Step 3: Send the Pounds

1. Enter the amount (minimum £2). Reference: anything, or leave it empty.
2. Confirm. Faster Payments usually arrives in CacaoCash within minutes. You get a notification and the deposit appears in Activity.

• The payee name is not a mistake. Bridge Building S.A. is the partner that holds the account on your behalf. The money is matched to you by the account number.

What You Can Do Once It Lands

Your balance is held in US dollars. From it you can scan and pay any QR code in Argentina, including Mercado Pago QRs, and send pesos to any alias, CBU or CVU for rent, a host or a friend. Why is the account holder not my name?

UK account details are issued by the banking partner, Bridge Building S.A., and the account number is assigned to you. Use Bridge Building S.A. as the payee name so Confirmation of Payee passes.

No. Transfers from another individual are returned. Only your own account, or a business account, can fund it.
