How to Deposit Euros to CacaoCash by SEPA Transfer (2026)
TL;DR
In CacaoCash, Deposit → EUR gives you a Luxembourg IBAN (Banking Circle, BIC BCIRLULL) in your own name. Pay it like any SEPA transfer, beneficiary your own name, minimum €1; with SEPA Instant the dollars land within minutes. No CacaoCash fee. It must come from an account in your name or a company account; transfers from another individual are returned.
CacaoCash gives you a euro IBAN in your own name. Any SEPA transfer from any euro account, including a euro balance in Wise, Revolut or N26, lands in your CacaoCash balance as dollars, ready to pay QR codes in Argentina or send pesos. No card fee, no DNI, no Argentine bank account.
The whole thing is a normal bank transfer. The first time takes five minutes, mostly typing the IBAN. After that it is a saved payee.
How It Works
- You get an IBAN, not a card form. The app shows the IBAN, the BIC and the bank. You pay it like you would pay a friend.
- SEPA Instant or standard. If your bank offers SEPA Instant, the money arrives in minutes, any day. Standard SEPA Credit arrives the next business day.
- Euros become dollars. Your balance is held in US dollars, converted at the rate shown in the app. From there, every payment in Argentina uses the crypto dollar rate.
Before You Start
- A verified CacaoCash account (passport or national ID, a selfie, a couple of minutes).
- A euro account in your own name at a bank or fintech in a SEPA country. Wise, Revolut and N26 euro accounts all work.
Step 1: Get Your IBAN in CacaoCash
- Open Deposit. On the Home screen, tap Deposit, then on Select currency tap EUR, Euro.

- Create the account (first time only). A short intro screen, EUR deposits, explains that CacaoCash opens a virtual account in your name that receives SEPA transfers from any European bank. Tap Continue. It takes a few seconds.
- Your details appear. The Deposit · EUR screen shows the Bank (Banking Circle S.A.), your IBAN (it starts with LU, Luxembourg), the BIC / SWIFT (BCIRLULL), the Beneficiary (your own name) and the Bank address in Luxembourg. Each field has a copy button.

Step 2: Send the SEPA Transfer
- In your bank app, start a new transfer or add a payee.
- Paste the IBAN. Beneficiary name: your own name, exactly as shown in CacaoCash. Most apps fill in the bank from the IBAN; if asked, the BIC is BCIRLULL.
- Enter the amount (minimum €1). Pick SEPA Instant if your bank offers it. Reference: anything, or leave it empty.
- Confirm. With SEPA Instant the dollars usually show up in CacaoCash within minutes; with a standard transfer, the next business day. You get a notification and it appears in Activity.
Tips
- A Luxembourg IBAN is a normal SEPA IBAN. If a form rejects it because it is not a domestic IBAN, that is IBAN discrimination, which EU rules prohibit. Try the app instead of the website, or ask your bank.
- Wise and Revolut work well. They send SEPA Instant by default and the account is in your name.
- Pounds? Use the GBP account. Don't convert pounds to euros first. See how to deposit pounds by Faster Payments.
What You Can Do Once It Lands
Your balance is held in US dollars. From it you can scan and pay any QR code in Argentina, including Mercado Pago QRs, and send pesos to any alias, CBU or CVU for rent, a host or a friend. Every payment converts at the crypto dollar rate, which in October 2026 gives about 10% more pesos than a foreign card. See card dollar vs crypto dollar.
